These courses are for clients looking to become instructors or who are developing through the instructor pathway. To gain more confidence at your current level and develop your skiing to a standard for each instructor level. To improve your knowledge in all areas of Basic Principles of skiing and understand the process to teach at each level of the instructor qualification. We give you the skills to ski, teach, give feedback at at the appropriate level of teaching, understand how to develop skiers performance and understand all areas of safety, enjoyment and the learning process. Each level of qualification requires different skill sets, to perform as skier and as a teacher. All areas of teaching skills will be covered and give you the correct preparation for any examination level you are looking to attend.  

 Level of Skier:

 Blue run SKIER  looking to develop for Level 1 qualification.

 Red run SKIER  looking to develop for Level 2 & 3 qualification.

 Black run SKIER  looking to develop for Level 4 qualification.

The team of highly trained professional instructors & examiners will train and develop you in preparation for all levels of qualifications.

Covering on snow and off snow sessions, with drills to improve your skills, to show you how to use drills to improve yours and learners skills and how these are used with different learning styles to become a great instructor working in the UK or Europe. 

 

Instructor Course Info:

Instructor Level 1 Exam UK:

Level 1 entry level, is a minimum basic parallel skiing standard. You need to be able to maintain a parallel skiing position and control your linked turns from the top of an indoor snow dome or dry ski slope. During the course you will learn the basic principles of skiing, Forces, Movements, Balance & Steering. How these are used in teaching the Core Skier Development progression, from first time skiers to basic parallel turns. You will shown the basic teaching styles to deliver the basic principles and how to keep students Safe with the snow sports code and group management. You will learn the Skier Performance Analysis Model to be able to give feedback on learners needs and development. Skiing performance will be looked at in Short and long turns. 20 Shadowing hours after the course is needed, 2 day First Aid, Online Safe Guarding Children module is also required.

Instructor Level 2 Exam Europe: 

The level 2 entry is a minimum standard of holding the current Level 1 qualification completed and holding a valid current licence. The 6 day assessment for the Level 2. During the course you will be assessed on the basic principles of skiing, Forces, Movements, Balance & Steering. How these are used in teaching the Core Skier Development progression, from first time skiers to basic parallel turns, in a mountain environment. You use the basic teaching styles to deliver the basic principles and how to keep students Safe with the snow sports code and group management, in a mountain environment. You will use the Skier Performance Analysis Model to be able to give feedback on learners needs and development, whilst teaching in a mountain environment. Skiing performance will be looked at in Short and Long turns, Bumps & Variable snow conditions in the mountain environment. Your Mountain awareness & weather knowledge will be assessed, with in your leadership skills, all within the mountain environment.

Instructor Level 3 Exams Europe:

There are modules to complete for the Level 3. These can be done in any order, long term development plans can be put in place to work towards this level. There are Prep courses for some modules and always recommend. Teaching & Training in the mountains is very highly recommend.

(1) Teaching Module, (2) Technical Module, (3) Coaching Qualification - (level 1 Freestyle or Racing),

(4) Second Discipline - (Level 1 Snowboard, Telemark, Adaptive instructing qualification),

(5) Off Piste Mountain Safety Level 1, (6) Second Language, (7) 200 Hours Teaching Logged, (8) Coaching Theory Course
